Slideways Enduro Series

Now in its third full season, there was a changing of the guard in the Enduros, with GJK Racing stepping up to claim the title in a winner takes all finale.

With five round wins from nine events, the team of Gavin, Jackson and Keenan Faulkner claimed the final three event victories to round out a brilliant year in both the sprint and team format races.

Second overall for the season were Global Action Photography, with team drivers Pete Brown, Jake Albertson and Camron Robertson joined at stages by Matt Hudson and Tom Brown.

After claiming the opening two wins of the season, the team finished second in all but one race.

Streamline Karting were another squad to jump up in the final standings, with drivers Jacques Goodman, Phil Edwards and Christian Bishop always a formidable combination.

All told, 25 teams entered various races during the season.

A total of 11 race wins for the year at Slideways Go Karting World saw Jackson claim 37th overall in the worldwide standings for the year from the nearly 8,000 registered participants.

Jackson also scored the Best & Fairest prize of a test drive in the Slideways Hyundai Excel race car.

Second overall for the year was another strong showing from Christian Bishop, who picked up a pair of race wins along with numerous podium placings.

New for 2018, the Slideways Ladies Sprint Cup went right down to the wire, with awesome racing from the leading drivers throughout.

In the end it was Amanda Rohde who just held on after a late charge by young gun Olivia Herbison, who stepped up after claiming the Cadet title in 2017.

After 10 rounds, only 50 points split the top two, the equivalent of less than one position on the race track.
