Entries are flowing in for our first ever Sprint Race meeting at Slideways Go Karting World Gold Coast, the Monster Jam® Race Day, which kicks off on Sunday September 18.
Not only will racers be able to test their skills against the best kart drivers in South East Queensland, but they will be able to do it at a specially discounted rate, with entries for the race meeting only $80 (plus standard Slideways licensing requirements), down from the standard $88 price for our Performance Challenge race package deal.
Prospective drivers are encouraged to contact the team at Slideways Go Karting World to secure a starting position on the grid ASAP, as the limited number of starting spots are filling fast.
Each driver on the race day will receive 10 minutes of practice, 10 minutes of qualifying, and a final 10 minute race, with the race groups split into qualifying order.
The prize pool for the day is seriously cool, with Monster Jam® coming on board with awesome prizes for the podium finishers for their tour opening show at QSAC at Nathan on October 1.
First prize is four VIP passes to the show including pit passes, plus one judges experience, an honorary and exclusive experience where you will get to be involved in the judging of the Freestyle section of the show.
Second place in the main race will win four A Reserve passes, plus a pit pass, with third receiving four B reserve passes and a pit pass.
Monster Jam® is the world’s largest and most famous monster truck tour featuring the biggest names in monster trucks, with the Australian tour expected to be another sell out.
Importantly, the day also counts towards points in the Sodi World Series Sprint Cup, a worldwide competition to see who the best leisure kart racer at venues utilising the market leading Sodi European race karts.
The venue for the competition is the Slideways Go Karting World’s main 700m long Nurburgring circuit, which has proven a hit with competitors in the opening two Sodi World Series events held to date, the Slideways Go Karting World Enduro Series.
Winners of that series will see themselves jetting to Sydney for the Pepsi Max National Hire Kart Challenge, as well as heading to the Sydney 500 Supercars round.
