The Slideways Go Karting World Enduro Series is set to go down to the wire, after Global Action Photography won the third round of the four round series, leaving them a single point off TSR Australia in the points standings.

The final event of the season is scheduled to take place on Sunday November 6, and it’s setting up to be a winner takes all shootout.

Quadruple points are on the line for the 65 minute race, with 3 Stooges, Rogue Racing, Oz Jap Performance, the Muppets and Race Condition all still a mathematical chance of claiming the title. Check out the full points table at the bottom of the page.

The weekend turned out to be a busy one for the leading squads, with both TSR Australia and Global Action Photography attending Monster Jam at QSAC the previous evening by virtue of their podium results at the recent Monster Jam Race Day.

TSR Australia young gun Jayden Jones in fact was a guest judge at Monster Jam after his win in the sprint event, and coming into the third Enduro, he was intent on continuing his winning streak, which included the opening two Enduros of the season.

Global Action Photography meanwhile have been chipping away at their times throughout the series, and sat on the pole position thanks to Jake Albertson’s lap time in the third qualifying session, a swift 43.480sec.

Third on the grid were The Muppets, followed by Rogue Racing, and GT Academy, which featured the driving talent of global Nismo athlete Matt Simmons, 2016 GT Academy world finalist Keishi Ayukai, and Speedcafe.com journalist Stefan Bartholomaeus.

Starting sixth were the ever present 3 Stooges followed closely by Race Condition, Multi 21, Shed 39 and The Newy Crew.

Albertson made the best of the start and led the field away, before relinquishing the lead after the first pit stop to TSR Australia.

Global Action Photography regained the advantage at the final driver change, with the gap between the leading two karts hovering around one second for much of the final stint.

Lapped traffic in the end proved decisive, with TSR Australia coming up 2.2sec short at the chequered flag.

Third place and 7sec off the leaders was a solid performance from Rouge Racing, ahead of The Muppets, 3 Stooges, GT Academy, Race Condition, Multi 21, The Newy Crew and Shed 39.

Showing how even the field was, TSR Australia picked up the fastest lap of the race with a 43.335, ahead of Rogue Racing 43.366, then Global Action Photography 43.367, 3 Stooges with a 43.468, The Muppets 43.425, GT Academy 43.702, Race Condition 44.214, Multi 21 44.507, Shed 39 44.551 and The Newy Crew 44.564.

Remarkably, that means that only 0.033sec split the top four karts on track, and 1.229sec covered the entire field.
