The first round of the Slideways Go Karting World Enduro Series 2016 has been run and won, with ace outfit TSR one step closer to packing their bags for the V8 Supercars Sydney 500 in December, as well as earning their entry in the Pepsi Max National Hire Kart Challenge.
The Australian representatives at the Sodi World Series used all of their experience to overcome Oz Jap Performance, who were right in the fight throughout the entire 65 minute long race.
At the chequered flag, only 1.025sec could split the two teams, after Oz Jap Performance started from the pole position following on from the three qualifying sessions.
Third overall on the day were Global Action Photography, who also completed the full 90 lap race distance.
The event was the first open endurance race held at Slideways Go Karting World in Pimpama, and attracted a capacity field of competitors.
The next round of the series is scheduled for August 28, with entries already filling fast for the double points race.
