The Slideways Go Karting World racing season kicked off with a bang on February 19, as the Slideways Enduro Series 2017 opener went right down to the wire.
With a new lap based format, reigning Enduro Series champions TSR Australia came through to take the win, following a major comeback drive after a tardy first driver change.
At the conclusion of 90 laps, TSR Australia were only 2.064sec clear of CTS Motorsport BBQ, who charged home in the closing stages of the race.
A further three seconds afield were early race leaders Global Action Photography, who started from the pole position, and jumped away to an early lead.
Team JTR were in the hunt throughout the race, but the team had to settle for fourth positon at the chequered flag, ahead of Team SBR, Multi 21, The S.P.E.D, Old Dogs, Team Toirkens, with Team Pimpyama rounding out the field.
CTS Motorsport BBQ clocked the fastest lap time of the race with a 44.017sec, ahead of TSR Australia (44.130sec), Team JTR (44.222sec) and Global Action Photography (44.247sec), with the top-six teams all clocking lap times in the 44 second bracket.

A highlight of the event was having the crew from Totally Wild trackside, filming throughout the day for upcoming episodes featuring the Slideways Enduro Series, as well as TSR Australia’s assault on the Sodi World Series Finals, which are scheduled for May in France.

The next round of the Slideways Enduro Series is scheduled for Sunday March 12, with discounted early bird entries already open for the race.
In other upcoming race days, discounted early bird entries have also opened for the Slideways Sprint Series, which kicks off on Sunday April 23.
On the same day, the Slideways Junior Racing Series commences with two classes, Cadets for 7 to 10 year olds, and Juniors for 11 to 14 year olds.
In other exciting news for juniors, the Slideways Karting Academy kicks off on Tuesday February 28th.
