Records tumbled at Slideways Go Karting World Pimpama, as GJK Racing dominated the fifth round of the Slideways Enduro Series.

From pole position, GJK Racing cleared out to an eventual three lap margin of victory, while team driver Jackson Faulkner lowered the outright lap record to an incredible 39.182sec time, while Chloe Buck reset the female mark for the venue with a swift 39.981sec lap.

Next up on the Slideways Race Event calendar is the rain delayed Sodi World Series Sprint and Slideways Ladies Sprint Cup this coming Wednesday night, with entries for both races still open.

The Slideways Junior Sprint Cup is scheduled to continue on Sunday July 15th on the reverse track direction, while the Slideways Enduro Series is set down for August 1st, with a 75min race on the normal track direction.

As has become the norm in 2018, all three drivers started the event with five minutes of qualifying, before combined times determined the grid, while the Sodi weight box system levelled the playing field for all.

Behind GJK on the starting order were Global Action Photography, then Streamline Karting, HR Racing Australia, GTR – Girls That Race, Notorious B.U.S. Drivers, and Les Femmes Kangourous.

From the race start, it was all the GJK show, with the family team clearing away from the field, with swift pit changes also proving decisive.

Although the final results show a dominant performance at the top, the battle for the minor placings raged throughout the 111-lap journey.

Global Action eventually got the better of Streamline Karting, with HR Racing Australia coming home in fourth.

Girls That Race were fifth home, from the Notorious B.U.S Drivers and Les Femmes rounding out the finishers.

The Best and Fairest for the event went to Cameron Wood, while Chloe Buck was presented with the Encouragement Award.
